This whimsical, yet sophisticated, set of eight napkin rings were realized by the celebrated midcentury American designer Dorothy Thorpe in America, circa 1960. Each napkin ring features a contorted, twisting form in cylindrical translucent Lucite, suggesting a pretzel- which served as the visual inspiration and also lends the piece its name. Visually clean and perennially modern, this set of eight napkin rings represents a winning acquisition for discerning collectors of important Mid-Century Modern design objects. It is also quite simply a beautiful and versatile set of napkin rings sure to add a touch of refinement to any dining table regardless of the style of interior. Excellent vintage condition.
